How Hypnotherapy Can Help Children

Hypnotherapy is a tool for sending messages to the deepest part of the self (our unconscious) to remind us of our intrinsic worth and value. Therapeutically this is often termed ‘ego strengthening’ , and when needed, it can be invaluable in improving emotions and behaviour. With children, an aspect of ego strengthening will always be incorporated towards the end of the hypnotherapeutic session, often including compliments and loving thoughts that have been gathered from carers beforehand. These aren’t only about their skills and things the children particular good at, but also the fact that they are treasured, just being who they are. Working hard on resolving their particular challenge is also valuable to recognise and praise. (more…)
